I have repaired enough Remington Express models to make them usable that I will no longer put one in my hands, ever. The Maverick or Moss. 500 is a much more trouble-free gun, in my opinion.The Maverick 88 is chambered for 12-gauge 2 and 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. It has a cylinder bore Barrel meaning that you cannot use adjustable chokes that screw into the end of the barrel which is totally fine. I would start off with some low recoil 2 and 3/4 inch 12 gauge shells like simple birdshot or target loads.…
